There are a number of articles that have been written especially for tutors new to work in Higher Education in RE which can be accessed by searching for 'subject induction packs'.
There is also a huge amount of material focused on the rich content available to RE teachers which has been arranged around the 6 principal religions of the UK. This is present to make lecture planning for tutors more easy and lesson planning for students easily resourced.
RE-Net has evolved from the site http://education.cant.ac.uk/renet with extensive support from the Training and Development Agency for Schools. Its updated remit is to provide a package of support and programme of professional development activities for RE tutors new to the teacher education community.
This work is being undertaken by a team of experts and consultants from all over the United Kingdom.
