A Question of choice...
Author:  Susan Bence

Chloe worked as a receptionist in a Hotel in London. A new Assistant Manager was appointed to the Hotel called Josh. She noticed him immediately and found that he too was similarly attracted to her. They started dating and both fell in love with each another. Chloe felt that the relationship was going well and that she wanted to make more of a commitment to Josh and felt that the time was right to have a child. Chloe became worried. She knew that although she loved Josh very dearly, her Father would never approve of such a match as Josh was of Afro-Caribbean origin. It wasn't long before she became pregnant.

Now Chloe had had several relationships with different men over the years. During these relationships Chloe had been pregnant four times and aborted them all. Because of this, her doctor had advised her that she shouldn't have any more abortions, due to the physical damage it would do to her. Chloe knew that having the child would be the most fulfilling thing she could do with her life. On the other hand though, her Father would then know about the relationship she had with Josh. She knew that he would feel so strongly about it that he would never speak to her again. She struggled for some time to come to terms with the situation. However, when it became obvious she was pregnant Chloe knew she had to make a decision. She knew and understood the risks she was taking and had a fifth abortion.
